Destination Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is the perfect destination for families looking to have fun and explore. With its various theme and nature parks, stretches of golden coastlines and luscious rainforests there is plenty to do that will excite young minds and satisfy their sense adventure.

We’ve highlighted a few fun and adventurous things to do whilst in the sunshine state.

ACTION PACKED ADVENTURE
Visiting the Gold Coasts theme parks is an essential part of any Queensland holiday and will keep the kids, and the adults entertained all day long. Dare to ride the rollercoasters at Dreamworld and Movie World or enjoy a water-soaked encounter at White Water World, regardless there is non-stop adventure to be had but also plenty of ways to unwind with a coffee, cold milkshake or a bite to eat at various food outlets across the parks in between.

EXPLORE WONDER AND TRANQUILITY
The Gold Coast Hinterland is full of natural wonder, from its’ luscious emerald green forests to hidden waterfalls and cooling swimming holes, young minds will love discovering the wonders of nature whilst the adults can enjoy the peaceful surroundings.  Take a guided tour or encounter the rainforest treasures at your own pace either way it’s a great way to get in touch with mother nature.

FUN IN THE SUN
Vacations just wouldn’t be the same with out some fun in the sun and the Gold Coast beaches never disappoint with up to 57km of golden sand and sparkling blue water. There are plenty of popular spots away from the crowds but it’s always a good idea with children, to stick to beaches that are manned with lifeguards. Take up some surfing lessons with the kids or just ride the waves with a boogie board whilst Mum relaxes in the shade with a good book. Be sure to pack the sunscreen and bring your own shade cover, the Aussie sun can be harsh.

Coolangatta, Palm Beach and Surfers Paradise are locations to put on the must do list to ensure the best beach experience.

TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE
The Gold coast is also known for its nature parks where you can experience close encounters with our friendly wildlife. Visit Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary and get friendly with brightly coloured birds and native wildlife or for something more exciting head North to the Sunshine Coast and discover Australia Zoo home of the infamous Irwin Family and experience a live crocodile feeding.

EATING OUT AND SHOPPING
There are plenty of restaurants around the Gold Coast and surrounding areas along the coastline, especially in the heart of Surfers Paradise, whatever your tastebuds there is something to satisfy everyone.

Take timeout to stroll around Pacific Fair located in Broadbeach Waters or if it’s designer labels your after head to Harbourtown in Biggera Waters, you’ll be sure to pick a bargain or two.

It's a perfect match
